Ecce Homo, 1985

pencil and tempera on canvas
215 x 245 cm
A figure of harmony
"I made the Ecce Homo after a trip to Dornach, for a visit to Rudolf Steiner's Goetheanum. His drawing, rather than alluding to the chakras of the Oriental tradition, could relate to eurythmy in which there are similar figures. But this last reflection is an observation subsequent to its realisation".
(Remo Salvadori, in Nel tempo trovare l'immediazza. Conversation between Bruno Corà and Remo Salvadori, in Remo Salvadori, exhibition catalogue at Centro per l'arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci, Prato, October 31, 1997-January 15, 1998, ed. Bruno Corà [Turin: Hopefulmonster, 1997], 177)
